Bio

Harrison Hiza is a custom furniture maker located in Rockland, Maine. His aesthetic is characterized by a contemporary take on the subtle simplicity of classic Shaker and Windsor styles, and draws influence from modern Scandinavian design. Harrison received his formal education at two premier trade schools: The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine, and The North Bennet Street School in Boston. The traditional approach taught at NBSS and the modern techniques encouraged at CFC have coalesced into an extensive range of abilities capable of bringing any idea to light. Through his career, Harrison has explored the field through a variety of commissions, personal work, and employers.

Commissions

Commissions are a collaborative effort between the client and maker. The process begins with a discussion with the client about their ideas and requirements. Harrison will then sketch, draft, or make a scale model of several designs for the client’s approval and consult with them on material and finish options. Once a design has been finalized work will start as soon as Harrisons production calendar allows.

Inquiries are welcome from both residential and commercial clients. If interested, please fill out the form below.
